Professional Rope Access Training

The IRATA Level 1 training is the first step in the international IRATA (Industrial Rope Access Trade Association) certification system, designed for individuals starting their careers in rope access. The program is developed in accordance with strict IRATA safety standards and procedures, recognized worldwide as the gold standard for working at height using rope techniques.

IRATA Level 1 training is intended for individuals who:

Course Content

During this intensive 5-day course, participants gain both theoretical knowledge and practical skills necessary for safe and effective rope access work. The training includes:

✅ IRATA Rope Access Basics – procedures, safety systems, rope ascending and descending techniques,
✅ Safe Use of Equipment – harnesses, lanyards, pulleys, carabiners, descenders, and backup devices,
✅ Emergency Procedures and Rescue – basic evacuation techniques and crisis response,
✅ Health & Safety Regulations – compliant with international standards, including risk assessment and safe work practices,
✅ Teamwork and Communication – cooperating with other rope access technicians, backup systems, and team responsibility.

The course concludes with a theoretical and practical exam conducted by an independent IRATA assessor.

Entry Requirements

To participate in IRATA Level 1 training, a candidate must:

• Be at least 18 years old,
• Have basic manual dexterity and no fear of heights.

Certification and Qualification Validity

Upon successful completion of the training and passing the exam, the participant receives:

• An international IRATA Level 1 certificate valid for 3 years,
• An IRATA ID card,
• Entry in the official IRATA logbook,
• An IRATA number allowing identification in the global technician database.
