Material Hoist Moving Tools.At the Training Center for Personnel Development, we provide training for conservators and operators of close transport category devices. We invite you to explore our course offerings for a material hoist conservator. All classes are conducted in a professional atmosphere, and most importantly, they prepare you for a profession.

What Are Material Hoists?

Material hoists are devices mainly used for lifting and lowering objects and materials. They are similar in this regard to aerial platforms. They consist of a platform that moves along a mast, resembling a ladder. The entire assembly is usually attached to an appropriate chassis. Their main task is to save time in construction or similar work. Other names for material hoists include "skip" or "ladder."

Different Types of Material Hoists

Material hoists are a broad group of various types of devices. Some subtypes of these machines include:
  • Portable hoists,
  • Stationary hoists,
  • Transportable hoists.
Material hoists also include ship hoists, used in shipyards and ports.

Concept of Close Transport Devices

Close transport devices are a group of devices subject to the Technical Inspection Office (UDT). These are primarily lifting devices. This equipment is mainly used for moving heavier materials over short distances and delivering them to locations typically higher or lower.

Training for Material Hoist Conservators

The material hoist conservator course is one of the most commonly chosen types of training. Its purpose is to train employees to obtain an official qualification, allowing our graduates to work in the profession. Our goal is to raise the competence of course participants and prepare them to work in various conditions. Training is conducted to provide both theoretical and practical knowledge.

Our Requirements

Material Hoist at a Scaffold.Everyone who intends to participate in the course must:
  • have a valid medical certificate,
  • have at least a basic education,
  • be at least 18 years old.

Course Process for Conservators

After completing our course, graduates should know how to:
  • initiate conservation activities,
  • ensure safe operation,
  • maintain the device in good condition,
  • conduct standard inspections at the end of the production process,
  • perform periodic inspections,
  • operate individual parts of the material hoist,
  • maintain appropriate documentation.

UDT Examination

The course must conclude with a state examination before the Technical Inspection Office (UDT) commission. A positive examination result means obtaining qualifications for working as a material hoist conservator. This certificate is equivalent to the possibility of working not only in Poland but also throughout the European Union.

Workplaces for Material Hoist Operators

A person engaged in operating material hoists can work in:
  • construction,
  • manufacturing industry,
  • transportation,
  • shipbuilding industry.
