Tower Cranes, Quick-Assembling Cranes, Rail-Mounted Cranes, and Stationary Cranes

Tower crane during construction workOur company with years of experience in both maintenance work and teaching warmly invites you to courses that will allow you to prepare for the UDT certification exams. Our qualified team will provide you with the necessary theoretical knowledge and teach you practical machine operation. A tower crane is a lifting device consisting of a tower on a mobile or stationary chassis and a horizontal or jib boom. They are used for residential and industrial construction work, transporting materials to construction sites, and assembling heavy elements. One of the significant advantages of these machines is the length of the boom and multiple drives, each responsible for the movement of different parts. Due to various categories, tower cranes can be divided into several types:
  • Based on the type of boom, we have: cantilever cranes and luffing cranes;
  • Based on the type of assembly: assembled in parts and quick-assembly;
  • Based on the method of installation: stationary and mobile;
  • Regarding the rotation mechanism: bottom and top rotation.
Like many other machines that fall under technical supervision, obtaining UDT qualifications is necessary for tower cranes and quick-assembly cranes, whether you want to be an operator or a machine maintenance technician.

  The training plan includes:

  • Construction, functions, classification, and properties of cranes;
  • Everything about technical supervision;
  • Cargo handling;
  • Maintenance technician responsibilities;
  • Operation;
  • Occupational health and safety regulations;
  • Dangerous situations/threats and procedures;
  • Assessment of technical condition;
  • Repair of faults and preventive maintenance (for maintenance technicians);
  • Proper maintenance, use of oils, and lubricants;
  • Machine inspection before, during, and after operation.

What Do Our Training Programs Look Like?

Cantilever crane in operationAfter the theoretical course, practical training follows, where future operators learn how to operate cranes, handle exceptional situations, and prevent them. Maintenance technicians, on the other hand, will learn the secrets of keeping the machine in good technical condition and safe for users. One participant can participate in both courses and take both exams before the UDT commission. A positive exam result is equivalent to obtaining UDT qualifications, which are valid for 5 years from the exam date. Three months before the expiration of this validity, you can apply for an extension. A documented work experience of at least 3 years is a requirement for this, and you must have worked in the profession.
