Practical training for operators of vehicles used to transport and elevate disabled passengers and passengers with reduced mobility. Training takes place on the customer’s ambulift at the airport.
The course covers preparation and safe use of the ambulift’s operating functions during passenger handling. Participants identify the chassis, cabin lifting mechanism, transfer platforms, gates, protective devices and controls. Sessions address load limits, parking conditions and operating interlocks. Positioning exercises consider aircraft clearances, changes in aircraft height and communication with the PRM team.
Ambulift operators, ground handling staff and PRM assistance teams. Equipment training complements, but does not replace, comprehensive disability assistance training.
Participants complete a full training cycle and identify conditions that prevent safe transfer. Initial exercises take place without passengers; any passenger involvement requires separate arrangements by the airport.
Training includes the agreed sessions, Polish or English materials, internal assessment and an ERGON certificate on successful completion. Other price conditions are set out in the commercial section.
